Kobe Bryant Wins an Oscar for Best Animated Short

I had no idea Kobe Bryant had even entered the film industry, but the retired Los Angeles Laker entered the industry on top as he won an Oscar for Best Animated Short. The film, "Dear Basketball", was based on a poem that Bryant wrote in 2015 that announced his upcoming retirement from the NBA.  Bryant accepted the award along with Disney animator Glen Keane. Bryant had told people he wanted to write and tell stories after he retired from basketball, and so far, he seems to be doing well in this second career. Besides the short film, Bryant is currently working on a series of novels. Everyone from Nike, to fellow basketball legends, have shared their congratulations with the five-time NBA champion.
