Zuckerberg To Meet Lawmakers Before Testifying To Congress

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is heading to Washington D.C. to testify before a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Commerce committees on Tuesday and the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday.

Before his two days of testimony, Zuckerberg is meeting lawmakers on Capitol Hill. He is reportedly spending most of Monday meeting with various politicians including members of the committees he will appear before.

Zuckerberg is expected to be grilled by lawmakers over Facebook's handling of the vast amount of personal information it collects on users. The social media company has come under fire after reports that data from at least 87 million people was improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica.

Facebook has introduced new features to help people better manage their personal information and limited the amount of information that is shared with third-party developers.
