Autopsy Shows Lottery Winner Allegedly Shot Woman To Death

The woman allegedly killed by a North Carolina lottery winner was shot to death, according to a newly released report. The State Medical Examiner's Office concluded in its autopsy report that 24-year-old Keonna Tavangela Graham died from a gunshot wound to the back of her head. The suspected shooter is 52-year-old Michael Todd Hill.

Around 12:30 p.m. on July 20, the maid staff at SureStay Hotel in Shallotte found Graham's body in room 310. According to WECT, she was lying on her stomach with a gunshot wound on the lower left side of her head. The autopsy report showed she had been asleep prior to the shooting.

According to the autopsy report, Graham and Hill were dating and had previously had domestic issues. Hill was arrested in Southport the day after her body was found.

Friends were shocked to learn of Graham's death.

"I think it's horrible," said Tiffany Wilson, an extended friend of the family. "I mean, he just won the lottery. I heard he just got married and you go and kill a young girl? A beautiful girl? I don't understand."

Hill won a $10 million lottery prize in 2017 from a scratch-off ticket in North Carolina. He now faces murder charges in the death of Graham and is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center.
