Authorities in Kentucky have arrested five people in connection with the disappearance of eight-month-old Miya Tucker Rudd. The infant's parents and grandparents were among those arrested.

The Kentucky State Police issued a notice about the missing girl on June 6 after she could not be found during a welfare check at the home of her parents, Cage Rudd, 30, and Tesla Tucker, 29. Miya was last seen by her family in April.

Rudd and Tucker are facing numerous charges, including abandonment of a minor, child abuse, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking, and engaging in organized crime.

Miya's grandfather, Ricky Smith, 56, and grandmother, Billie Rudd Smith, 49, were also arrested on drug trafficking and child abuse charges. The police also arrested 37-year-old Timothy Roach after officers allegedly saw him throwing unprescribed Suboxone under his car in Billie Smith's driveway.

Authorities are still searching for Miya and have started using cadaver dogs to try to locate her.
