About Stephanie:
If there is one resounding theme that defines Stephanie Glance’s professional career it is leadership. Over the last 30 years, Glance has held leadership positions in collegiate athletics and the non-profit sector, elevating each program to a high standard of excellence.
On September 21, 2015, Glance became the CEO of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, the organization that bears the name of her mentor and friend, Olympic gold medal-winning and Naismith Hall of Fame coach, Kay Yow. Over the past 3 years, Glance’s leadership has been the catalyst that sparked a 25% increase in net assets, signifying the largest growth cycle in the Kay Yow Cancer Fund’s 10-year history.
In acknowledgment of her efforts, Glance was a Triangle Business Journal Women in Business Award winner in 2018.
Prior to her time at the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, Glance spent 28 years coaching Division I women’s college basketball. Her longest stint, 15-years, was served alongside Kay Yow as Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for NC State women’s basketball. During that time, Glance signed thirteen top 20 recruiting classes to NC State, including 2 classes that were ranked in the top 5 nationally. NC State made 11 NCAA tournament appearances, 4 Sweet Sixteen trips, and one Final Four run during Glance’s tenure in Raleigh.
In her first year as head coach at Illinois State University, Glance earned national recognition as the Maggie Dixon Division I Rookie Coach of the Year, leading the team to the Final Four of the WNIT and the 5th most wins in school history.
