An Arkansas mother was arrested in California, accused of kidnapping her eight biological children from their foster homes. The Anderson Police Department said they received a tip about a "woman displaying bizarre behavior" in a grocery store parking lot on Saturday (October 21) night.

The caller noted the woman had six children with her.

When officers arrived, they identified the woman as 36-year-old Trista Fullerton and learned she had a warrant out for her arrest in Arkansas.

Fullerton was taken into custody and told the officers where her other two children were. The Anderson Police Department contacted the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, which dispatched deputies to locate the other two children.

They were found safe, and all eight children have since been reunited with their foster families.

Fullerton was charged with being a fugitive from justice and is being held without bail in the Shasta County Jail.

Fullerton was previously arrested for domestic abuse against the father of her children and for violating a no-contact order. In 2022, she was sentenced to four years of probation.
