Lincoln’s new version or verbal “stimming,” when stressed or anxious, is blurting out, continuously, “DADDY AT THE RADIO STATION! DADDY AT THE RADIO STATION!”
It’s gotten so bad, that his teachers have printed out, and taped the picture, below, to his desk... That way, when he’s having an episode, he can go to his desk, and look at my picture...
Today, while I was doing show-prep, he started bursting out station sweepers & promos:
“ITS LIKE AN ATM OF INFORMATION! 106.1 FM TALK!”
“NEWS AT THE TOP & BOTTOM OF EACH HOUR!!!”
I tell people, all the time, he hears & takes in, EVERYTHING... And I couldn’t help but be reminded of that scene from Rain Man:
My kid is AMAZING... I just hope he stays away from radio... He’s smarter than that!
